This unit was extremely helpful in learning how to structure an effective ESA lesson plan. Knowing the various component parts and that there are different ways to arrange the pattern (straight arrow vs boomerang, etc) was also informative. What I did find somewhat confusing at times is creating a firm line of demarcation between Engage, Study, and Activate, because the lesson plan flowed seamlessly together. What was most helpful in deciphering this was working on the study sheet portion that asked for a mock lesson plan.
