Course books are a useful tool in the classroom but to create interesting lessons that allow students to experiment, course books should be used more as a guide than a staunch manual. Teachers should stretch their creativity and interest students with outside material, both authentic and created. If teachers can choose their own course book, they should find one they feel works with their students level and that they (the teacher) can glean ideas from for more in depth discussion and practice.
