In unit 10: "video lessons" we got to watch 2 different ESA lessons being taught. The first lesson was full of mistakes and quite honestly just awkward to watch. Right off the bat the teacher walks into the classroom late after all of the students are already in there and seated. Without any introduction he begins to lecture without any sort of instructions or visual aids on the board to help get the students comfortable and ready to participate. He speaks fast, avoids eye contact, and is extremely difficult to understand even for a native English speaker! In the second lesson the teacher starts the class with an introduction of himself and his students. He already has a visual aid on the board to help facilitate the engage phase, and maintains clear and understandable directions through out the lesson.
