This unit explained the different types of testing that a teacher may have to do, namely: placement tests, progress tests, diagnostic tests, practice tests, and external exams. For me as a NET (Native English Teacher) in Korea I find that my students are really appreciative if I let them complete a practice test before their mid-year exams and final exams, because it shows them which areas they still need to study more. I feel that this unit helped me to identify the differences between the different types of tests and it also showed me the different external test that my students may be studying for.
