Unit 3 was laid out in a very simple, concise and orderly manner - right from eye contact and gestures to how to organize and seat your students. I found the section on grouping students the most interesting because of the pros and cons listed I was able to understand the benefit of pair work. The teachers position and movement through the class as well as when is best to write on the board and how being prepared ahead of time was very helpful. The amount of teacher talk time versus student talk is something I can relate to as I mentioned earlier, I recently learned Italian and found that when the teacher would drone on I would completely lose interest. Giving proper instruction and establishing rapport are two great examples of how to keep students feeling confident and engaged in the learning process.
