Before teaching your lessons in front of your class it's very important to prepare your lesson plan. You have to think about which ESA method (Straight Arrow-Boomerang-Patchwork) will be more effective for your class and you need to have all your materials ready(survey-photocopies for study exercises and active games, grammatical information on the board). The teacher has to be aware of his attitude; to think about how to use his voice(clear and slow), to keep eye contact with all students, to smile, to use gentle gestures ..all to motivate and involve all the students. He has to ask regularly if everybody understands his explanation, to ensure himself that the target language has been understood.
