I have learned that we have to follow some steps from the moment we enter a classroom. I have learned that there are counteless rules and methodologies we can benefit from when teaching a student from a foreign country. There have been inumerous discussions on which would be the best techniques to be applied when teaching a new language. I have reviewed that all the approaches are valuable, but in some cases there are some drawbacks we should be aware of as teachers, for example: I can not teach English to students from China using a “Grammar - Translation” technique if I am not proficient in the student’s mother language. I have reviewed that as educators we have to be in a constant research for new means of aiding our students in order no capture their needs, understand their culture and, which would be the best methodology to be used to make them successful and for us as teachers, feel like we have accomplished our mission.
