This unit covered guidelines teachers typically follow when creating examinations. There are categories of tests that are used at different times during the course depending on goals of the examinations. These tests include placement tests, diagnostic tests, progress tests and external tests. An example was given of a placement test that examined grammar, vocabulary, motivation and experience in English speaking countries. Lastly, the unit discussed the different types of testing and services that Cambridge provides for a range of people, from immigrants to students.
