Conditionals, reported speech, and direct speech are interesting subjects in English. Even though they are difficult to teach, there is lots of potential for students to use them to their advantage to be creative in English. These grammar points challenge students knowledge of verb tenses. It also challenges their "cause and effect" reasoning, and their ability to accurately report spoken words to someone else.
