As a person that learned English very young I am quite on the level of natives where I know how to speak and write the language but I don't know the intricacies of it. I know how to innately use the rules but not the rules themselves. This unit has helped me to understand the category of each word in a sentence and what the purpose they serve in the sentence. I am also learning Japanese and I thought transitive/ intransitive was only a Japanese thing. I see that it is also difficult in English.
