This unit provided two video demonstrations of how teaching a class should and should not be done. In the first video, the teacher didn't engage the class, or try and get to know the students to make them feel comfortable. In the second video, he did, by introducing himself, and asking the students for their names. This made the students feel at ease. He also commended the students for their answers during the engage phase, instead of drilling them for their wrong answers. This teaches me that the initial attitude of the teacher, affects the rest of the class. If the teacher is positive, and joyful, the students may feel the same and even more willing to participate.
