The video was helpful for learning about the productive skills. I didn't realize the receptive skills were at the end of the productive skills video. This would have been helpful for me to see and would have done better on the test if I saw that. Productive skills are probably most controlled during teaching to be sure students are fully understanding and able to speak and write. Writing seems like it may be most difficult to teach because English is so tricky with spelling and rules. I like that the idea of telling students why they are learning what they are learning to give them focus and motivation.
