Most of the classes that I get to teach on my own here in Japan, I try to focus on writing and speaking activities. However, because Japanese students are so shy, it is often difficult to focus on fluency exercises as they're very inclined to not say anything of they thing they're wrong. It's nice to learn some activities or techniques that can ease that nervousness and allow them to just have fun with the language, regardless of accuracy.
