This unit is about the different ways of evaluating students. Even though giving regular feedback is important so that students can be aware of their level and progress, it is also useful to conduct other formal means of feedback, such as group or individual tutorials, questionnaires or guided discussions to have students evaluate their course, and different tests aimed at knowing the students’ level of English, checking what they have learnt or preparing them for external exams.
