This unit is definitely complex and I can see why it would be difficult for students. It's somewhat difficult for me to wrap my head around even though I do it naturally. Actually, some of the "correct" answers don't feel as natural as some of the other options, and I feel like many people probably speak in ways that aren't completely grammatically correct but no one really thinks about it that much. I won't likely be teaching at a level that will require this information, though.
