It was helpful to learn about receptive skills being reading and listening and how the different types of reading is categorized. I was thinking receptive skills being understanding language because I was told my son had higher receptive language skills when he was younger, but had difficulty with pronouncing words. I can see how this would all go together for our lessons. It was helpful how they explained the ESA lesson ideas.
