This unit was particularly useful in an area I have struggled with somewhat, in how to get the most out of a classroom activity by establishing a particular dynamic. I was very appreciative of the 'pro vs. con' format detailing all of the different student groupings. The organization will help me determine how to better plan my activities and proactively set up a classroom to get the most out of either an activity or the group of students in general. Also, while my discipline tactics have evolved and matured over time, I'm always interested in learning new ways to establish rapport with a class. I always figured rapport came down to interaction with individual students, but it makes a lot of sense that classroom set-up and design will help students form respect for the teacher that will manifest as rapport eventually.
