In this lesson, I've learned the system and structure of past tenses. From past simple, past continuous, past perfect to past perfect continuous. In the past, it was very easy for me to get confused among past tense, past perfect tense and past perfect continuous. By study gradually, I learned that past simple is used for a completed past action, past perfect tense is usually for action completed before another past action. And past perfect continuous is used to talk about longer actions or situations in the past that had been going on up to the past moment that we are thinking about. And as to the difference between past continuous and past perfect continuous is that past continuous can express an action, which began before that time and probably continued after it.whereas, past perfect continuous is the action had been going on up to the past moment we're thinking about.
