This unit covered the grammar topics of conditionals and reported speech. The conditionals, as the name implies, include certain clauses (if, when…) that contain certain conditions that have to be satisfied before the action or state in the main clause can be realized. There’s the Zero Conditional, First Conditional, Second Conditional, Third Conditional, and Mixed Conditional. This unit also gave examples of how to teach the conditionals. A considerable portion of the lesson also explains and illustrates the differences between reported speech and direct speech, including a comparison chart.
