This unit has showed me how much the finer details matter when teaching. These things such as lesson strucutre, teachers tone and attitude, pre class activities/ events, to name a few all contribute toward the teaching environment and how effective the lesson will be for the students. If the environment is not optimal, the students will likely feel uncomfortable and not want to participate. As the teacher it is our responsiblitity to ensure these details are in order to make sure our learners are able to absorb the information being taught and maximise retention of that content. Self evalutation plays an important role in indicating to the teacher if they are on the right track with his or her teaching methods in conjunction with the classes general performance.
