This unit taught me the positives and negatives of using the coursebook prescribed. It also gave ideas of what I can do to make my lessons more interesting and educational for my learners. I can do this by omitting, replacing, supplementing, and adapting my lessons to suit my classes and the level of my learners. I have realized while teaching that my students get bored if I only use the coursebook, but that they love interacting with games and discussions that give them more freedom to work with and play with the language that they are learning.
