This lesson explained that there are four basic skills in any language which are: reading, listening, speaking and writing. Reading and listening are receptive skills while speaking and writing are productive. All are equally important.
This lesson focused on reading and listening, which are the receptive skills.
It taught me how to set-up a lesson for the students based around something of interest to them, while pre-teaching complex vocabulary and I learned how to teach an effective lesson using the ESA structure.
