Unit 17 talks about the equipment and teaching aids the schools and teachers use to make lessons more interesting, effective and not so depended on the textbook. This unit explains how important is to know when to use this aids and how to use them in order to have a controlled and successful lesson. Some of these are the board, the interactive whiteboards, the overhead projector, and the visual aids like objects, pictures and photos; but also the worksheets, DVDs, the cassette recorder, among others. Besides this unit emphasize the important role of dictionaries as an aid when learning a new language and how important is to use English Dictionaries instead of dictionaries that translate between English and the own language. Dictionaries help students produce language. We can basically see in this unit the aids that helps the teacher to have a good lesson, and to prepare these lessons in a more effective and engaging way.
