The social dynamics of a classroom are as complicated as any situation could be; perhaps even more so because of the educational nature of the environment. The need to communicate and be listened to effectively is absolutely important in teaching a new language to students. The balancing act of connecting to your students and understanding them as individuals and a group balanced against the need to maintain discipline and focus in the face of intellectually challenging material at time is one I do not relish. The small line referencing how a new teacher shouldn't be afraid to consult more experienced educators under the discipline section should perhaps be emboldened and highlighted; I have every intention of utilizing every resource to connect with and maintain the discipline and focus of my classes.
