Unit 14 went over lesson materials whether it be a course book or materials created by the teacher. As long as I have taken language classes course books have been involved. That said I personally don't have an issue with them but I can understand how some students might. I think for the student it is convenient to have the exercises written out and all you have to do is turn to a page. Though, It is important for the teacher to strike a balance between using the course work and complementing it with other material so that the students don't get bored.
