From this unit I have learnt that as long as people have been learning and teaching languages many methods were applied to achieve the best results. Nowadays ESA (Engage-Study-Activate) method became the most popular as it helps not only to motivate students, but also expose them to the language and give them the opportunity to use it. I am going to employ this method into my teaching practice in future. To make my classes more effective I will choose Straight Arrow, Boomerang or Patchwork ESA lesson depending on the level of the students and learning objectives. I will come up with the activities to fully engage students on the Engage stage, let them learn new English language concepts in a fun way on the Study stage and give them a chance to use the language and experiment with it on the Activate stage.
