In this unit i learned about the importance of eye contact, gesture, and using the voice in the classroom and the proper way to use each one of those managing tactics as well as the benefit to each one. Learning the pros and cons of how to group students was very helpful as well. Also learning that the way that the classroom is arranged has a dramatic effect on the class as well. It is important to find ways to reduce the time spent with your back toward the class when writing on the board. Establishing rapport and giving proper instructions and maintaining discipline are very important in managing the classroom.
