the two videos showed stark differences in student participation and understanding. The instruction in the first video was discouraging and disengaged where as the second video the students were actively participating and seemed to real grasp the concepts. The atmosphere created by the attitude of the teacher proved to also be a major factor in the activate phase. Eye contact, smiling and the use of students names made for a relaxed environment.
