This unit have refreshed me of one of the most important foundations of grammar, the parts of speech. It was reaffirmed in me that genuine learning of grammar starts with the learning of the different parts of speech. I also realized that as a teacher of English, it is very important that I always keep myself knowledgeable about the rules of grammar so as to fully achieve linguistic competence. A teacher of English should always be linguistically competent so as to competently guide his/her to students to become competent in English.
