While a lot of this seems like common sense, I was able to relate it to past experiences I've had in the classroom. In my personal position as a team teacher, I don't run my own class, so I don't get to control things like the default class seating arrangement, but students in Japan are able to quickly change their desks depending on the activity, so they're very attune to this system. I feel like I've passed all the items on the checklist for establishing rapport with my students, but it was nice to have something to refer to.
