I'm so glad to have taken this unit. I've heard of many of the standard English tests, but was unfamiliar with what each of them tested specifically. It's good to know more information about the TOEFL, the TOEIC, the IELTS, the Cambridge assessments, even the Trinity skill specific exams and the University of Michigan proficiency Exam. I imagine obtaining old copies of these exams and tailoring teaching methods to them may be of benefit if I'm teaching students who are primarily taking the class to pass such a test.
Interesting to learn the differences between Placement, Diagnostic, Practice, and Progress tests too.
