I enjoyed this lesson because I think it touches on the importance of what to teach and why it is important to teach those aspects of the English language. Additionally, this unit teaches what not to teach due to the lack of importance it has on learning a new language - such as the origin of English words and how often a grammatical structure is used in the English language. This unit was very helpful in laying out effective ways to teach a class and also did a great job on what to teach in those structures. Finally, this unit taught on the different structures and ways to plan a lesson such as "Patchwork," "Boomerang," and "Straight Arrowed" lesson plan structures which was helpful.
