Unit 7 seemed a bit more accessible to me, a bit easier to grasp. I hadn’t thought about how much a student would use some vocabulary words except to cut down vocabulary lists given by textbooks. I did this to help students to be able to more easily retain the words for use in class and for tests. I didn’t want them to always struggle to come up with words to be able to participate. I guess I was thinking about what words would be most important first, without realizing that I was following something I would read in a course about teaching.
