This unit was an overview of what makes for a successful ESL teacher, and also what can help ensure learning success for the students. The unit also highlighted the in-class relationship between teacher and learner. I appreciated this unit as a reminder to myself of my role as an educator.
The different roles a teacher will need to take on within a lesson were also listed, as were the categories used for describing English language learner levels.
The 6 Common European Framework levels were interesting. I am very familiar with the 'Beginner to Advanced' definitions, but these Common European Framework definitions are something I've learned new this week.
