This unit when over course books the pros and cons of using created and authentic materials. The unit went over how there is much debate in which is best to use but it is the teachers job to use their knowledge and choose what will work best for their class. I learned that using authentic materials is a great way to encourage your students as it can motivate them more when using real world materials compared to a text book but you need to be careful that when doing so that you find materials that match the level of your students.
