In Unit 11 we covered receptive skills: reading and listening, which can be divided in 2 categories: for a purpose and for entertainment.
When we read or listen something what we understand will be dominated by our pre- existent knowledge, this is why we have to be extra aware of the material we use in our classes and the different types of students we have in the classroom to lead a successful lesson.
