This unit was informative in explaining the different types of available teaching material, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each. I've learned the difference between authentic and created material. Authentic material is taken from "real life", while created material is produced from the teacher or school for the class. I've also learned that I shouldn't base all of my lessons around the direction of the course book and allow flexibility.
