This unit was helpful in highlighting the need for both accuracy and fluency focusses for students, and how for each the roles of the teacher and students vary. It covers the need for teachers to drill words for accuracy, yet also allow the students sufficient creative time in order to develop fluency. It also highlights the benefits of game playing in order to stimulate interest, and to assist with fluency, accuracy, and class cooperation.
