Unit 3 went summarized the different approaches to managing a class room and which approaches are the most useful for establishing rapport, maintaining order, and to motivate students. I found the section that summarized the different classroom arrangements particularly useful. I never considered how using group work and pair work could help motivate the students to participate and will use these methods when I am teaching, because getting students to participate can sometimes be difficult.
