This unit informed me as to the understanding of listening and reading in a classroom environment. The different manners in which a student can assimilate text and sound to understand a language. Both reading comprehension and familiarity with spoken word of another language can be taught effectively by understanding the concepts such as listening to, watching or reading differing materials that are interesting to the student.
