The receptive skills of learning are reading and listening, and the productive skills are speaking and writing. Exposing students to different media for them to read/listen to/absorb, then engaging in activities with what they've learned...is taking advantage of the receptive skills of the students. It is a little confusing sometimes to differentiate between the end of the study phase and the beginning of the activate phase. This unit sought to make the steps clearer and easier to follow, depending upon the lesson plan.
