Unit 8 discussed the different coursebooks and lesson materials and their pros and cons. I like that this unit pointed out the flaws in using strictly coursebooks, because sometimes coursebooks will not cater to the individual needs of the class, but are often a very useful tool as they encompass many different topics, however most classes omit sections of the book because they are not useful. I personally always like it when the coursebook is supplemented with original material, because the original material can be more class-specific.
