In unit five, we learned all about classroom management. There are a lot of things that can affect the smooth management of a classroom. For example, seating arrangements, eye contacts, gestures, the teacher’s voice, how the students are grouped for activities, how and what the teacher writes on the board for students, where the teacher is standing, or if the teacher is sitting, how much the teacher and the students talk, and how students are disciplined. This unit covered many fine details for classroom management. What I learned is that it is really important for the teacher to have a relaxed, friendly environment to build a good rapport, while also maintaining professionalism in the class.
