This unit covers the basic characteristics of what a good teacher looks like and what a good learner looks like. It highlights the range of roles a teacher may have in the classroom and when to use them. It also looks at the learner and the different things we as teachers need to be aware of before and whilst teaching them i.e. their age, why they have chosen to study, their background and life experiences and the level they are at with regards to the language. I've learnt that there are a lot of factors that go into being a great teacher. The main thing for me is knowing my learners well so that I can be the most effective teacher for their learning.
