In this unit, we reviewed the four types of present tenses, how they are formed, how they are used and what common errors students are likely to make. As a native speaker, these tenses are used without second thought. It was really useful to see what types of errors are made, why they’re made, and how the teacher can explain corrections to students. As there are so many verb tenses in the English language, it’s highly important that teachers are able to understand and explain the differences between them.
