In this unit, I studied the eight parts of speech. These are parts of everyday English conversation that native English speakers do not regularly think about. It was really helpful and useful for me to review some of these parts of speech. For example, before I was unable to explain the difference between a transitive and intransitive verb or be able to explain how a gerund functioned. I also learned some interesting tips that I can teach to students later, such as multiple adjective order (size> age> color> material), and multiple adverb order (place> manner> time).
