In this unit, I was taught how to teach English vocabulary, grammar, and functions. Before this lesson, I thought that language was just language and you should learn it all. The idea that there are functions as opposed to just learning words is new to me. I now see the specific importance of each of the three main categories that were covered in this lesson. Grammar is important but is only the anchor to direct your vocabulary which is then applied to functions. This is one of my favorite lessons so far.
