This unit has been a great refresher course for my English language skills. I have come across most of the parts of speech before, but had never come across the terms of some parts of speech such as 'gerunds'. I feel my understanding of how a sentence is structured is much clearer, and will enable me to teach with more accuracy. I had forgotten that verbs have so many parts to them including transitive, intransitive, infinitives and auxiliary verbs.
