Unit 15 talks about evaluation and testing. Basically, there are several kinds of tests given to students depending on the purpose. Say for example, placements tests are designed to enable teachers to place new students into correct class according to their language proficiency. Diagnostic tests are given at the start of the school year and progress tests are given periodically to gauge students' language level. I learned about different external examinations such as TOEFL and Cambridge and I am excited to share this knowledge to my colleagues in the future.
