In this lesson "Teaching Receptive Skills" I learned about the importance of having students learn reading and listening. I learned that reading can be easier for students than listening because it can be reread as many times a necessary. I also learned effective ESA lessons and examples of how to teach these lessons. I know that I should vary lessons and choose different topics. I should do this so that students with different interests are engaged and like what they are learning. Also a great tips from this lesson was to go over problem vocabulary before reading the text so that the students feel less stuck, or defeated.
